In addition, the special board delivered Russian virologists, epidemiologists, doctors of Rospotrebnadzor, the Ministry of Health of Russia and the emergency group of the Ministry of Emergencies to South Africa.
Earlier it was reported that the plane of the Ministry of Emergencies of Russia Il-76 with virologists loaded a mobile laboratory in Volgograd and flew to South Africa to fight COVID-19.
On December 9, during negotiations, Russian President Vladimir Putin and South African leader Cyril Ramaposa agreed to send a group of virologists to the country.
