"In Moscow, 2894 new cases were detected ... 704 people were hospitalized per day, 84 patients died," the city's headquarters said in a statement.
It is noted that another 3,016 patients recovered after COVID-19.
The total number of people cured of the infection increased to 1,815,584.
Virologist Yevgeny Timakov, in an interview with FAN, gave a forecast for the development of the situation with COVID-19 before the New Year holidays.
