Copenhagen.

London.

Alicante.

Istanbul.

Passengers streamed out of the arrivals hall at Landvetter Airport on Monday morning.

Some of them had already performed gargle tests.

Others had theirs in a bag in their hand.

Since this spring, Västra Götaland offers all international travelers who are registered in Västra Götaland a free so-called PCR test in the arrival hall at Landvetter.

Testing is recommended

The Swedish Public Health Agency recommends everyone who has lived in a country outside the Nordic region to take a PCR test as soon as possible after entering Sweden.

It should preferably take place on the same day.

For Hannah Gormley, who traveled from London, it did not feel appropriate to take a test - which she thinks is a shame:

- The conversation was in Swedish, but I understood that it was quite complicated to test me because I do not have a Swedish number, she says and adds that she has a test in her bag and will test herself as soon as possible.

Now the region may be about to bring about a change.

- We at VGR can not test and post positive test results in another region, but are bound to our regional residents.

But we have extended an open hand to all regions that want to join and try their hand at Landvetter.

But we hope to be able to get started with Halland soon, says Per Sikora, sampling coordinator in the region.
