Tunisian President Kais Saied announced this evening, Monday, that Parliament will continue to be frozen until new elections are organized, accusing political forces of betraying the country and looting the people's money.

Said announced, in a televised speech from the Carthage Palace, that he will organize a popular consultation via electronic platforms from next January until next March 20, and he will form a committee that will compose various proposals to finish its work before the end of next June.

The Tunisian president added that the draft constitutional reforms and the law organizing elections, among others, will be submitted to a referendum on July 25th.

In a related context, Saeed affirmed that he will establish a tax reconciliation with everyone involved in the theft of public money, provided that those convicted of seizing public money finance investment in the poorest areas of the country.

Saeed stressed that all those who have committed crimes against the Tunisian state and its people since the Tunisian revolution will be tried, calling on the judiciary to carry out its duties within the framework of complete impartiality.
