Afghanistan: former Afghan intelligence officer tracked down by Taliban testifies
Former members of the Afghan forces have been hunted down and killed by the Taliban since their return to power.

Since their return to power, the Taliban have reportedly eliminated at least 50 former members of the Afghan forces.
And those who still escape them have gone underground, like this former agent of the NDS, the main Afghan intelligence service.

He has clear eyes, he is very calm and for four months, he has hardly left his home: “
I've been an intelligence agent for ten years.
I went all over eastern Afghanistan to follow Taliban cadres who were illegally extracting minerals and raw materials in order to finance their movement.
I am in danger because they know us, and they are looking for us.

Since August 15, the Taliban have launched a real hunt for members of the NDS.
And when they find them, there is no going back: “
I had two colleagues who I was very close to, they were friends.
The day after the fall of Kabul, the Taliban arrived around their homes in a pickup.
They surrounded their house and arrested them.
A week later, the police called their families to come and collect the bodies.

Two weeks ago, Human Rights Watch
denounced the campaign of
summary
executions
launched by the new regime in Afghanistan.
His only hope today: that the United States or its allies will quietly get him out of Afghanistan.

If I was alone, I wouldn't even think about it,”
