From the 13th of the Diet, the Budget Committee of the House of Representatives will begin deliberation on the supplementary budget for this year.

It is expected that the ruling and opposition parties will start a full-scale debate over measures such as measures against the new corona, economic recovery, and the ideal way of providing benefits worth 100,000 yen to those under the age of 18.

At the extraordinary Diet session convened on the 6th of this month, Prime Minister Kishida's statement of belief and representative questions from each party were given last week.

Prime Minister Kishida and all ministers attended the House of Representatives Budget Committee for two days on the 13th and 14th, and a basic question was asked. Substantial deliberation on the surplus supplementary budget for this year will begin.

On the ruling party side, the Liberal Democratic Party's chairman of the political affairs investigation, Sanae Takaichi, asked questions and asked for explanations on measures against the new corona and economic recovery, as well as responding to China's increasing pressure on Taiwan and government relations to the Beijing Olympics. I am going to ask my opinion about Japan's position regarding the dispatch of people.

On the opposition side, Ogawa, the chairman of the Constitutional Democratic Party's political investigation, asked questions about the specific content of Prime Minister Kishida's "new capitalism" and the differences from the Abe administration's economic policy "Abenomics." In addition to requesting clarification, the policy is to pursue it as causing confusion among local governments over the payment of 100,000 yen worth of cash and coupons to those under the age of 18.

It is the first time that Prime Minister Kishida has been in the Diet for deliberation in a question-and-answer format, and the debate between the ruling and opposition parties is expected to begin in earnest.
