“For six days of early voting in Transnistria, 7799 citizens of the republic made their choice.

For comparison, in 2016, two times fewer voters voted early - 3208 people, ”the CEC said in a statement.

The republic recalled that the main date for the presidential elections is December 12.

About 255 polling stations will open at 7:00 am and will work until 20:00 local time.

The press secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration of Moldova, Daniel Voda, earlier called on foreign countries not to send observers to the presidential elections in Transnistria on December 12.

He emphasized that any participation in such processes is viewed by the Moldovan authorities as a challenge to the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the republic, as well as undermining the settlement of the Transnistrian conflict.

Two candidates will take part in the presidential elections: the current head of the republic Vadim Krasnoselsky and the deputy of the district council of Grigoriopol Sergey Pynzar.
