Just over three weeks ago, the Danish construction company Barslund was declared bankrupt.

The company was to complete the station area in Billesholm, but now there are many question marks surrounding the project.

- We have brought in a law firm to move forward with the process and it is a time-consuming job, says Mikael Henrysson (SD).

Since the station area has not been completed, the inauguration will be moved to the other side of the track, called Eken.

The Söderås line itself is not affected by the bankruptcy and therefore the first Pågatåget will stop at the inauguration on Saturday.

- We have set up a temporary bus shelter at Eken where the buses can stop until the area is ready, says Mikael Henrysson.

Complicated process

Before Bjuv municipality can make a new procurement with a new contracting company that can complete the station area, the area needs to be inspected.

When the entire station area is expected to be ready today is uncertain.

- It is quite complicated with lawyers, inspection and new procurement.

There is a lot of work that remains to be done.

Hopefully as soon as possible but can not say any date, says Mikael Henrysson.

From Teckomatorp to Billesholm

In addition to Billesholm, two other new train stations, Kågeröd and Svalöv, will be inaugurated when the trains start rolling on the Söderås line this weekend.

- It feels great that the train will finally stop in Billesholm.

We get communication and we believe that it will contribute to increased immigration when it becomes easier to commute to Malmö, says Mikael Henrysson.
