The EFA ceremony in Berlin (Ansa)

December 11, 2021 The film "Quo vadis, Aida?", Directed by Bosnian Jasmila Žbanić, is the winner of the 34th edition of the Efa (European Film Awards), the awards of European cinema, awarded tonight in Berlin.



Already presented in competition at the Venice Film Festival in 2020 and in five for the international Oscar this year, "Quo vadis, Aida?" won Best Picture, for Direction and Best Actress, going to Serbian Jasna Đuričić.



Anthony Hopkins picked up the Best European Actor award for "The Father", directed by newcomer Florian Zeller.

For the same performance, Hopkins won the Oscar for Best Actor this year.

Presented last year at the Sundance Film Festival, the film also won the EFA for Best Screenplay, going to Zeller and Christopher Hampton, former 2021 Oscar winners for non-original screenplay.



Nothing to do for Paolo Sorrentino and his "E 'was the hand of God", which was nominated in three categories: film, direction and screenplay.
