Another batch of U.S. weapons and ammunition arrived in Ukraine, and the situation at the Russian-Ukrainian border continues to be tense

As the situation in Ukraine continues to be tense, the United States stated that it has recently shipped a batch of weapons and ammunition to Ukraine.

According to a CNN report on December 10, local time, a US State Department official stated that a batch of military aid materials had arrived in Ukraine on the 9th.

This batch of materials includes small arms and ammunition, and is part of a batch of aid materials worth 60 million U.S. dollars (about 380 million yuan).

This batch of aid materials also includes four anti-mortar radars, which will be delivered to Ukraine next year.

During the visit of Ukrainian President Zelensky to the United States in early September this year, U.S. President Biden approved the aid plan.

The aid also includes anti-tank missiles.

This is not the first time the United States has shipped military equipment to Ukraine this year.

On November 14, the Press Office of the U.S. Embassy in Ukraine stated that Ukraine had obtained 80 tons of ammunition from the United States on the same day.

US Department of Defense spokesman Kirby said on December 8 that the United States has provided Ukraine with security assistance worth about $450 million this year.

According to reports, since the Crimean crisis in 2014, the United States has provided more than 2.5 billion U.S. dollars in aid to Ukraine.

CNN reported that the United States is also helping Ukraine train its military, including the National Guard to Ukraine to participate in multinational training programs.

The U.S. Department of Defense also stated that the U.S. European Special Operations Command has played a major role in providing training and assistance to Ukrainian special forces.

But the US Department of Defense did not disclose how many special forces are deployed in Ukraine.

Recently, Ukraine and Russia have accused each other of intensifying the situation. Ukraine said that Russia has deployed more than 94,000 troops on the Russian-Ukrainian border, while Russia said that Ukraine has deployed 125,000 soldiers in the eastern Donbass region.

The United States warned that Russia would pay a "serious price" if it "invaded" Ukraine.

Russia denies the accusations made by the West and said that Ukraine’s accession to NATO is a “red line” that cannot be trampled on.
