In SVT / Novus' latest voter barometer, the Social Democrats receive 29.3 percent of voter support, a statistically significant increase of 3.7 percentage points compared with the previous survey.

Among the older population, people over the age of 65, the Social Democrats are without a doubt the most popular parity.

The Social Democrats capture as much as 43 percent of the senior electorate, which can be compared with the second largest party in this age group, the Sweden Democrats, which attracts 17.6 percent of voters over 65 years.

- The Social Democrats win voters from the Left Party, the Green Party, the Center Party, the Moderates and the Sweden Democrats.

It is very interesting that they take quite a lot from several parties, says Torbjörn Sjöström, CEO of Novus.

MP during the parliamentary blockade

For the Green Party, the figures go in the opposite direction.

The party receives 3.7 percent of the voter support, which is a statistically significant decrease of 1.1 percentage points compared to the previous survey.

This means that the party in this poll ends up under the parliamentary blockade.

- The loss was greatest before the Green Party left the government.

We saw tendencies that voter support increased slightly when leaving the government, but this is not statistically certain, says Torbjörn Sjöström.

“Must get better”

The Green Party's party secretary Katrin Wissing says that the party's figures in the opinion poll "are not enough".

- We should not lie this low.

We must become better at showing that a vote for the Green Party is not just about you getting the best climate policy, we have a broad policy, she says.
