From the country of Frederic Chopin, voices resounded with melodies from different decades, during Poland’s celebration, the day before yesterday, its National Day at “Expo 2020 Dubai”, as the events witnessed a musical segment at the Dubai Millennium Theater entitled “Poland .. The celebrations, which were organized in the presence of a high-level delegation representing the Republic of Poland, began with a ceremony to raise the flags of the guest country and the United Arab Emirates, and the national anthems of the two countries were played in Al Wasl Square.

The Minister of State in the Polish Ministry of Economic Development and Technology, Grzegorz Pechowiak, headed a delegation of his country's officials, who was received by Najib Mohammed Al-Ali, Executive Director of the Office of the Commissioner-General of Expo 2020 Dubai.

Najeeb Al-Ali said: “Poland's participation revolves around mobility, migration, communication and exchange.

The pavilion’s innovative design symbolizes the importance of commercial and social exchange between cultures, and uniquely embodies our sub-theme of mobility.”

He added: "As one of the largest economies in Central Europe, Poland is distinguished by being a country full of opportunities, sharing the UAE's vision in the areas of digitization, communication and building a knowledge-based economy, as embodied in (UAE Vision 2021) and (UAE Centennial 2071). ).

In this regard, we hope to take advantage of Poland's presence in (Expo 2020 Dubai), in order to strengthen the existing cooperation and explore new relations.”

For his part, Grzegorz Pechowiak stressed that "2021 is an important year for the UAE to celebrate its golden jubilee, and it is also important for Polish-Emirati relations, which this year marks the 30th anniversary of the opening of the Polish embassy in Abu Dhabi," adding: "Over the past three decades, we have worked To establish and expand joint cooperation between our two countries, as well as to create more links between our two countries, and most importantly, to continue in this way, in implementation of the slogan (Expo 2020: Connecting Minds, Creating the Future), as we want to do this along with The UAE and the international community, where we want to work on connecting minds and creating the future.”

In the evening concert, Polish music of different decades attended, with the participation of Yannick Moinarski, composer and instrumentalist who performed the music of the period from 1918 to 1949, Anna Rosovich, singer and songwriter, who played the music of the sixties and seventies, and Roxana Wengel, singer The young woman, winner of the Junior Eurovision Song Contest and MTV Europe Music Contest in the category of Best Polish Female Artist, presented a touch of vibrant contemporary European pop music.

The activities of Expo 2020 Dubai will continue until March 31, 2022, and the international event invites visitors from all over the world to create a new world together in a celebration of human creativity, innovation, progress and cultures over a period of six months.

Migratory trees and birds

The wooden structure of Poland's pavilion at Expo 2020 Dubai resembles trees in design, and includes a moving sculpture representing the large-scale migration of birds from Poland to the Arab world.

The pavilion highlights the country's diverse global links, as well as its role as a leading producer of commodities, and aims to inspire and inform the world of multiple solutions for a conscious and sustainable future.
