"Sergei Zuev said that in the evenings his blood pressure rises to 170-180 units while the norm is 120. According to him, on December 3, in the court, which was considering the issue of extending his arrest, the pressure rose to 220 units, and an ambulance had to be called." , - said the human rights activist.

In the pre-trial detention center, Zuev is kept in a cramped four-bed chamber-cell.

He asks for a transfer to another equipped shower room.

“It's not a matter of comfort.

While still under house arrest, he underwent surgery and has to carry out postoperative hygiene procedures on a daily basis, ”the POC representative explained, explaining that the prison hospital has cells equipped with showers, and the administration is considering a request to transfer Rector Shaninka to one of them.

During a conversation with members of the POC, Zuev said that he did not understand the purpose of his detention in the pre-trial detention center.

“I am ready to cooperate with the investigation.

I do not admit my guilt, but I am ready to cooperate with the investigation, "the interlocutor of RT quoted him as saying.

Earlier, the Tverskoy Court of Moscow extended the arrest of Sergei Zuev, the rector of the Moscow Higher School of Social and Economic Sciences (Shaninki), by three months.

According to the investigation, in 2018, Zuev, together with ex-Deputy Minister of Education Marina Rakova and former Deputy Director General of the Foundation for New Forms of Education Development, Yevgeny Zak, conspired to steal RANEPA money.
