Expo 2020 Dubai represents a great opportunity for the participating countries to promote their most beautiful landmarks and attract visitors, and this is what Montenegro aims to achieve, through its distinguished pavilion, which reveals hidden and charming aspects of this country that appreciates its environment a lot, and recognizes the forests, Which covers more than two-thirds of its area, providing a green area that embraces many species of animals, and rare types of plants.

The pavilion welcomes its visitors with a saying of the famous Lord "Byron": "When the world was born, the most beautiful meeting between land and sea was undoubtedly on the coast of the Black Sea."

The Republic of Montenegro is a haven for pristine nature in southeastern Europe on the Mediterranean coast, and embraces a beautiful nature that allows its visitors to experience unique experiences in all seasons of the year, as it is rich in plant wealth and rare creatures, including a rare flower called "man and shield" that does not exist. There are only 12 flowers in the world, in addition to the golden eagle “sky dancer”, the fastest bird in its mountains, and olive trees that are more than 2,000 years old and are still producing their fruits.

human side

Upon entering the pavilion, the visitor finds himself facing the “Forest of Lights” that simulates with “augmented reality” the rainforest that characterizes Montenegro, which is one of the rare forests in Europe. The pavilion also reveals a human and environmental aspect adopted by the Montenegrin government to protect its rare plant and animal wealth It is protected by a constitutional document signed by Parliament on behalf of the people in 1991, and this seems natural considering that only flowers and plants grow on its land that are not found elsewhere, such as the “Lofsin” flower, which a group of volunteers protects in a wonderful artistic way, by fixing its stems. Certain balloons release water in an artistic way, in the event of fires in the forest, to protect these rare flowers.

Within the framework of this unique humanitarian policy, the Montenegrin government prohibits the construction of hydroelectric power stations, because it destroys the ecosystem of the streams in which a certain “dragonfly” lives, to preserve and protect it from extinction.

In the same context, the Montenegrin people build floating nests to protect the young of a huge migratory bird known as the "Dalmatian Pelican", which flies to this country every year for the purpose of breeding, so as not to interrupt its annual journey to its lands.

"sky dancer"

The Montenegrin wing is also proud of another bird placed in the middle of the flag of this republic, which is the golden eagle, or “sky dancer”, which is the fastest of all, and the most predatory, and the male and female golden eagle appear dancing as if they were fighting, but it is actually a kind of spinning At a time when the peaks of Montenegro are ideal places for nesting this rare bird. The pavilion presents an overview of why Montenegro was called by this name, as it is famous for the tallest black pine trees in the world, and when ancient merchants and sea passengers saw it from afar, it appeared dressed in black, so it was called Montenegro, at a time when it still provides protection for these trees. that characterizes its land.Among the animals that characterize Montenegro as well, as its wing displays, is the “brown bear”, which is part of a European project based on tracking it with the aim of protecting it, and one of the amusing aspects of this project is that all attempts to lure this meat-eating bear failed, until it was tempted by A certain "biscuit", he liked it and began to communicate with scientists and experts.

unique herb

Among the exhibits that attract the attention of visitors to the "Montenegro Pavilion" is a painting of a unique herbal plant called "Musica com", of which there are only 12 flowers in the world found in Koki Kom in Montenegro, so this plant is given great care by the state, and its name is derived from Two Greek words that mean "man and shield" because it has healing properties.

The visitor is also attracted to wonderful destinations highlighted by the pavilion, such as the Tar River, which is famous for describing the "Tears of Europe", for the purity of its crystal waters, and its 40 waterfalls.

As well as the longest beaches on the Adriatic Sea.
