An interesting visual experience worthy of discovery, presented by the creators of the Thailand pavilion at Expo 2020 Dubai, to tell the story of a country that bets on the global leadership in tourism, with its historical sites, stunning landscapes and pure beaches, and before that a hospitable people celebrate its visitors.

With a facade of more than 500 artificial crown flowers, called "Duk Rak", the Thailand pavilion was decorated in the "Expo" movement area, embodying a true masterpiece woven with endless care and precision, shortening the story of the continuous growth of Thailand, and embodying for visitors a full-fledged experience. The authentic traditional architecture that remarkably emerged in the roof of the pavilion, which is inclined to the traditional style, to mimic the famous Thai salutation “wai.” As for the golden color that topped the outer surface of the facade and its roof, to be distributed among the various sides of the pavilion, it triumphed over the concepts of prosperity and development and the rich historical and civilizational heritage of that country .

One of the most striking features of the pavilion’s architecture is its dedication to one of the most important concepts of Expo Dubai, which is sustainability. The design of the Thai pavilion, nor the process of implementing it in this beautiful way, was not only related to presenting a unique artistic concept, but also to an environmentally friendly project, which aims to leave a minimum of Carbon emissions, after all materials used in construction were adopted from local sources, and concrete, steel and aluminum were recycled in its construction, in addition to that, the pavilion was painted in shades of natural colors, which reduced energy consumption, while even the flower network was invested in operations Thermal insulation, help maintain a warm temperature.

In addition to successful economic models, the Thai pavilion features societal concepts inherited from the history and heritage of the local civilization, most notably the values ​​of authentic hospitality embodied in the pavilion’s designs, and the crown flowers that cover it, to devote the attractiveness of Thai hospitality and popular local greetings.

As an inspiration for the design of the pavilion’s architecture, the traditional wreath, or “puang malai”, was chosen to be the symbol of the Thai pavilion, speaking the meanings of friendship and welcome, which the guests expect from the people, and which he dedicates in the visitors’ journey inside the pavilion, the two cartoon characters “Matali” and “Rak”, The two Thai hospitality ambassadors who surprise visitors each time with their permanent presence in a number of public sites in the exhibition.
