A man suspected of a series of robberies was arrested on Tuesday and taken into police custody in Carpentras (Vaucluse).

In three weeks, five attacks were recorded in the Vaucluse but also in the Bouches-du-Rhône, reports

In mid-November, two tobacco shops were victims of armed robbery in Orange (Vaucluse) and Eyragues (Bouches-du-Rhône).

On November 24, in the early hours of the morning, the manager of a tobacco company in Carpentras had managed to scare away an individual armed with a 22 long rifle rifle.

Actively sought

An hour later, in the same town, the assailant had targeted a fast-food restaurant from which he left with a hundred euros.

This Sunday, a tobacco shop in Monteux was robbed by an individual armed with two knives.

The man got hold of several hundred euros.

The various testimonies and the images of the CCTV cameras allowed the arrest of the suspect, who was actively wanted.

His involvement in the various robberies is, for the moment, not recognized.
