Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister: Iranian nuclear negotiations will continue in Vienna on the 9th

Xinhua News Agency, Tehran, December 7 (Reporter Gao Wencheng and Wang Shoubao) Iran’s Deputy Foreign Minister and Chief Negotiator on the Iranian Nuclear Issue Bagheri said on the 7th that talks between the parties involved in the comprehensive agreement on the Iranian nuclear issue will continue on the 9th in Vienna, the Austrian capital.

Bagheri confirmed in an interview with Iran’s National Television that the Iranian nuclear talks will continue on the 9th in Vienna.

He stated that Iran has put forward "very useful and constructive proposals" on the lifting of sanctions against Iran and nuclear activities, which will give a strong impetus to the negotiation process.

It is hoped that Western countries will also take practical actions to promote the negotiation "faster" to continue.

Iranian Foreign Minister Abdullahhiyan said on social media on the 6th that Iran has sincerity to reach a good comprehensive agreement to make the Iranian people feel tangible results.

In July 2015, Iran reached an Iran nuclear agreement with the United States, Britain, France, Russia, China and Germany.

In May 2018, the US government unilaterally withdrew from the Iran nuclear agreement, and subsequently restarted and added a series of sanctions against Iran.

Since May 2019, Iran has gradually suspended the implementation of certain provisions of the Iran nuclear agreement, but promised that the measures taken are "reversible."

The talks between the parties involved in the Iranian nuclear agreement began in Vienna in April this year to discuss the issue of the United States and Iran resuming the implementation of the agreement.

Due to serious differences between the United States and Iran and the change of leadership of the Iranian government, the talks were suspended after six rounds.

The new round of talks was held in Vienna on November 29, and a temporary adjournment was announced on the 3rd of this month.
