From medicines for Covid, to voluntary termination of pregnancy, to reptile dysfunction.

A black market on the web that led between June and July, the Carabinieri of the Nas obscure 95 websites, connected to foreign servers, on which they were promoted and offers, even in Italian.

A virtual showcase that exhibited drugs used for the pandemic emergency from Covid-19, others that had to be prescribed with the obligation of a medical prescription. The military has identified the offer of products containing active ingredients subject to particular restrictions of use and specific indications for clinical or experimental use in relation to Sars-Cov-2 infection such as the antivirals lopinavir / ritonavir, the antibiotic azithromycin , the antivirals remdesivir and ribavirin, the antimalarials chloroquine and hydroxychloroquine and the anti-inflammatory colchicine.

In the Dark Room there were announcements relating to the hospital drug tocilizumab, used for the treatment of severe rheumatoid arthritis for which Aifa, with a note of June 2021, regulated the use in the treatment of adults hospitalized with Covid-19 severe and / or with high levels of systemic inflammation indices.

Removed from virtual showcases 12 advertisements relating to medicines containing umifenovir, for which Aifa has already specified the absence of authorization for use in Europe and the lack of scientific evidence of efficacy in the treatment or prevention of COVID-19, as well as camostat mesilate, not authorized in Italy, and the antiviral oseltamivir. Blacked out sites offering not only drugs against erectile dysfunction but also products for the treatment of hepatitis C, for the therapy of psychotic disorders, for the treatment of degenerative joint diseases, and ranitidine, used for the treatment of gastric ulcer or reflux gastroesophageal. One of the sites blacked out offered for sale medicines based on misoprostol and mifepristone, substances used for the voluntary termination of pregnancy;6 other sites offered, among others, products containing highly dangerous hydrocyanic acid.   

The measures carried out so far in 2021 by the Nas, of which 209 linked to the Covid-19 emergency, therefore rise to 241. remembering that the online sale of prescription drugs is absolutely prohibited and that, as regards the offer for sale of 'non-prescription drugs', it is always necessary to check the presence of the required national identification logo by clicking on which you are redirected to the web page of the Ministry of Health website containing the data relating to the authorization ".
