Canadian authorities are examining the issue of diplomatic boycott of the Beijing Olympics

The Foreign Ministry spokeswoman stressed that the Canadian authorities remain concerned about reports of human rights violations in China.

She also announced that she had received notice of the US decision.

Earlier it became known that the United States will arrange a diplomatic boycott of the Olympic Games in China in connection with the "violation of human rights."

Later, the International Olympic Committee commented on the diplomatic boycott of the Winter Olympics in Beijing by the US government.
