Regarding the US government's diplomatic boycott of the Beijing Winter Olympics, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Unification repeated the previous position that they had supported the successful hosting of the Beijing Olympics.

A key Blue House official also said the same thing as the government announcement, saying, "It is a diplomatic decision of another country, and there is nothing to mention."

They seem calm on the outside, but the depth of their worries is growing.

The United States said it would leave the decision of its allies to decide whether to boycott it, but as the number of countries not participating in the Beijing Olympics increases, the time for us to choose is approaching.

China is also attracting us.

Last week, when announcing the results of the Korea-China Security Command Summit, China emphasized South Korea's support for hosting the Olympics.

Although it has not been made official, there is a possibility that President Xi Jinping may request President Moon's participation, such as through a video conference next month.

A warning light was also lit on the Korean government's concept of an end-of-war declaration.

However, the Blue House is of the opinion that the location of the declaration of an end to the war does not necessarily have to be the Beijing Olympics.

A high-ranking official said, "The declaration of an end to the war is a matter that can be reached at any time if conditions are met for North Korea to come out as a forum for dialogue."

In his congratulatory address to the UN Peacekeeping Ministers' Meeting yesterday (7th), President Moon also emphasized that the declaration of an end to the war is the first step toward peace and denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula, and made it clear that he would continue to pursue it.
