Yesterday, the activities of the World Conference on Creative Economy, which is organized under the slogan “Integrated Creativity… Makes the Future”, kicked off and lasts for three days, as part of a series of conferences and events organized by the Ministry of Culture and Youth at Expo 2020 Dubai.

The conference, which was launched at the Dubai Exhibition Center, "Expo 2020", is a platform for innovation and creativity to exchange knowledge, ideas and challenges facing the creative economy, especially in light of the circumstances imposed by the repercussions of the "Covid-19" crisis, as well as discussing new trends and solutions that guarantee a more future. Creative and sustainable.

During her speech at the opening session, the Minister of Culture and Youth, Noura bint Mohammed Al Kaabi, welcomed the audience in the UAE, expressing her pride in this gathering at Expo 2020 Dubai, the most important cultural and civilized event in the world.

She said, "We in the UAE are excited and honored to host the second edition of the World Conference on Creative Economy after Indonesia, as we affirm our promise to the cultural and creative sector, and the commitment of our leadership to sponsor and develop this vital sector."

She stated that "the cultural and creative sector has become a voice of humanity and has given hope to the world, and this flexibility and adaptability is what made the cultural and creative industries draw the attention of the entire world."

For her part, the Director-General of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization "UNESCO", Audrey Azoulay, said during her speech at the opening session, that "the conference at (Expo Dubai) demonstrates how art encourages people to find their sources of inspiration.

She pointed out that "last January, the oldest cave painting in the world was discovered on the island of Sulawesi, Indonesia, dating back 45,000 years. This discovery confirms the indisputable fact that creativity has always been the lifeblood of humanity, even in the depths of time, and today creativity still permeates society. We see it clearly in (Expo Dubai).”

She added, "(Expo Dubai) showcases the huge potential of culture and creative industries to connect minds and create the future, as the global event shows how art can encourage people to find their voice."

Goals

The World Creative Economy Conference aims to enhance prospects for cooperation and support efforts aimed at formulating future policies for the creative economy, ensuring the realization of the concept of sustainable development, and shedding light on a group of important topics such as technological transformation and the future of inclusive sustainability and diversity.
