  China News Agency, Bangkok, December 6th (Reporter Wang Guoan) The Ministry of Health of Thailand notified on the 6th that Thailand had discovered the first case of Omi Keron mutant virus infection, a 35-year-old American tourist who had entered Thailand from Spain.

  Officials from the Ministry of Health stated that the American man entered Thailand on November 30 and was diagnosed with the Omi Keron mutant strain after a nucleic acid test.

So far, the high-risk groups who have had close contact with them include 17 hotel staff and 2 airport staff.

  Thai Prime Minister’s spokesperson Thanakorn said on the same day that Prime Minister Prayut has received the report from the Ministry of Health for the first time and is paying close attention to the development trend of the domestic new crown pneumonia epidemic.

  Tanakorn said that Prayut expressed that he has deep confidence in his country's health system and can quickly screen for related suspected cases in a short time.

Currently, the existing anti-epidemic policies and measures will not be changed.

  He said that Prayut also hopes that the people will pay attention to the new mutant strains, but don't panic too much and insist on taking preventive measures.

People who have not received the new crown vaccine should arrange for vaccination as soon as possible.

  Thailand announced that there were 4,000 new confirmed cases of new coronary pneumonia and 22 deaths.

So far, Thailand has confirmed a total of 2,145,241 cases and a total of 20,966 deaths.
