China News Service, December 6, According to Peru’s “Gazette” report on the 6th, the Peruvian Ministry of Health (Minsa) reported that it is developing an application to verify the authenticity of the new crown vaccination card presented by the public. It will be put into use in the next few days.

As the Peruvian government will require people over the age of 18 to show their vaccination cards to enter closed public places from December 10th, some groups selling fake vaccination cards have recently appeared in the capital Lima.

To this end, the Ministry of Health is urgently developing an app, which is expected to be ready this week.

According to reports, the verification of the vaccination card will be done through a QR code or by viewing the photo on the digital ID card.

This tool will make the verification process faster.

The Ministry of Health emphasized that the application will keep everyone's data confidential and is essential to know whether the person concerned has received two doses of the vaccine.

As of 18:00 on the 5th local time, more than 22.91 million people in Peru had received at least one dose of the new crown vaccine, and more than 19.1 million people had received two doses of the vaccine, exceeding 68% of Peru's immunization target population.

Peru’s Lima Health Authority (Diris) reported that in the central districts of Lima, San Juan de Lurigancho, La Victoria and Cercado are the areas with the largest vaccinations for the new crown.

At the same time, in the central districts of Lima, the vaccination rate for the first dose was 83%, and the vaccination rate for the second dose was 74%.

The San Juan de Lurigancho district government is taking action. This weekend it deployed a number of additional vaccination teams to reach various markets, homes, and squares in the district to contact citizens.

The Health Bureau of Lima, Peru, once again emphasized to the public that vaccination with the new crown vaccine can prevent severe illness and death, and is the best protection, and called for continued observance of preventive measures, such as wearing masks frequently, maintaining social safety distance, and avoiding going to crowded places.
