After more than

two weeks of conflict

, a meeting between elected officials and unions took place.

But for now, the discussions wanted by the French state rule out the collective which refused to condemn the violence beforehand.

 "

We do not want a confrontation so we agreed to remove the roadblocks, especially since it relieves the population,

explains

Jean-Marie Nomertin, the general secretary of CGT Guadeloupe

.

There is a process to reach an agreement with the elected politicians so that we can together begin negotiations with the various ministers, not only Sébastien le Cornu, but also the Minister of Finance, the Minister of Health, the Minister. Tourism, etc.

 "

The general secretary of the CGT Guadeloupe recalls that “

for the moment the unions have decided to demonstrate in Pointe-à-Pitre and Basse-Terre.

We symbolically occupied the place to say that we can start over at any time.

Caregivers accused of endangering patients

In front of the CHU, the suspended caregivers continue their gathering.

As Christmas approaches, Sandra, who is a caregiver, worries for herself: “

I don't know how I'm going to do it

 ”.

But she is also worried about the colleagues who have remained in post: “

There, they put the patients in danger and then they say that it is us, the unvaccinated, who put the patients in danger.

It is not us.

Our colleagues made them run every twelve hours while we were in the three-eight system, which means that our colleagues will be tired there.

The reintegration of unvaccinated caregivers is far from being achieved.

There is one month left before the law on compulsory vaccination applies as of right

to the West Indies
