The penalty for not helping a child report his or her suffering is up to 50 thousand dirhams

The Public Prosecution Office of the State clarified, through a film material that it published yesterday on its accounts on social media, the penalty for not helping a child report his suffering to the competent authorities.

Whoever violates this shall be punished with a fine of no less than 5000 dirhams and not more than 50 thousand dirhams, according to Federal Law No. 3 of 2016 regarding the Child Rights Law "Wadeema".

The Public Prosecution indicated that, according to the “Wadeema” Child Rights Law, every person who has reached the age of majority must help any child who is asked to inform the competent authorities or the concerned authorities of his suffering or the suffering of any of his brothers or any other child in one of the cases stipulated in Article 33, which is ;

The child losing his parents and remaining without a sponsor or sponsor, and the child is exposed to neglect, neglect and homelessness,

The obvious and continuous failure in education and care, the habitual mistreatment of the child, the child’s exposure to exploitation or sexual abuse, the child’s exposure to exploitation by illegal organizations and organized crime such as planting ideas of intolerance and hatred or inciting him to commit acts of violence and intimidation, exposing the child to beggary or Economic exploitation, in addition to the inability of the parents or the person responsible for the care of the child to care for or raise him, the child being kidnapped, sold or trafficked for any purpose or exploited in any way, and the child having a mental or psychological disability that affects his ability to perceive.
