Saudi Minister of Islamic Affairs: “The Brotherhood” is a disease, and we are working to “immunize” their ideas

Saudi Minister of Islamic Affairs, Dr. Abdullatif Al-Sheikh, described the Muslim Brotherhood, which is classified as terrorist in the Kingdom, as a "disease", stressing that "we are working to immunize them from their ideas."

The Saudi minister said in a statement to "Okaz Online" newspaper today, Sunday, about the existence of the ideas of the (Muslim) Brotherhood that are banned in the Kingdom, "whether they have a presence or not, it is left to the concerned authorities."

He stressed, "We are keen to educate society and warn it against the owners of destructive principles that destroy religion and the homeland and want to cause the division of national cohesion."

Minister Al-Sheikh added, "The Brotherhood is a disease that we found in our society, and other societies whose countries have fallen and been plagued by strife," stressing that "we are working to fortify society and the places that bearers of these ideas may frequent."

On the effectiveness of the awareness programs carried out by the ministry to confront deviant ideas, Al-Sheikh said, "They have had a great positive impact, and citizens and students of knowledge have reached a high degree of awareness and awareness."

And the Saudi Minister of Islamic Affairs added, "This scourge is over, and as long as society is cohesive, it will reject all those ideas that call for the division of national cohesion and dispersal of people and incitement against themselves and their homelands."
