It had closed its doors on October 5 due to a sharp drop in requests for injections. The large vaccination center at the Parc Expos de la Beaujoire, also nicknamed vaccinodrome, will reopen from December 17, announce the city of Nantes and the regional health agency (ARS). It will then replace the vaccination center installed in the Nantes-Erdre room (Ranzay), soon too small to cope with the need for a vaccine booster (third dose) against Covid-19. "This transfer will make it possible to go from 700 to 2,000 injections per day at the opening and then to 2,500 injections from Monday, December 20," indicates the Nantes town hall.
The meetings initially planned at the Nantes Erdre room will therefore be transferred to this new center from December 17.
Tuesday, December 7, new appointment slots for getting vaccinated will be available on the Internet and by phone.
It will be useless to show up on site without having reserved a slot.
Twenty-four vaccination boxes
The Beaujoire vaccinodrome will have 24 operational vaccination boxes from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.
No less than 65 health professionals, assisted by around fifty municipal officials, will be mobilized on the site.
Outside vaccination centers, it is possible to get vaccinated from general practitioners, nurses, certain pharmacies, or even certain laboratories.
