In order to prevent the spread of this virus, Chile's land ports have been temporarily opened.

  Zambia’s Minister of Health Sylvia Masebo announced in Lusaka on the 4th that the Omi Kiron strain was found in the country for the first time.

Genomic sequencing of samples of patients with confirmed cases of the new crown showed that three people were infected with the Omi Keron strain, of which two men had a history of international travel and one woman had no history of international travel.

  The Romanian Ministry of Health announced on the 4th that two cases of Omi Keron strain infection were confirmed.

Both of them were asymptomatic infected persons. They returned to Bucharest, the capital of Romania, on a chartered flight from South Africa on November 30. They were quarantined at home after arriving.

Prime Minister Chuuk of Luo announced on the 4th that he would convene a government work meeting on the 5th to discuss how to prevent the spread of the Omi Keron strain in Luo.

  Chile’s Valparaíso Region Health Bureau issued an announcement on the 4th that the country’s first patient infected with the Omi Keron strain entered Chile on November 25 from Ghana, a West African country, and is currently in good condition and is under quarantine. .

In order to prevent the spread of the Omi Keron strain, the Chilean Ministry of Health announced on November 29 that the opening of land ports will be temporarily suspended. From December 1st, foreigners who have visited South Africa, Zimbabwe, Namibia and other 7 countries in Africa within 14 days will be prohibited from entering. .

  On the 3rd, the Mexican Ministry of Health issued an announcement stating that the country had discovered the first case of Omi Keron strain infection.

The patient was 51 years old and returned to Mexico from South Africa on November 21. He is currently receiving treatment in a hospital in the capital Mexico City.

Mexican Deputy Minister of Health Lopez Gartley said on social media that the patient had milder symptoms and was more optimistic about his recovery.

Mexico has launched health surveillance on incoming passengers since November 26.
