The Executive Director of Health Regulation at the Dubai Health Authority, Marwan Al Mulla, stated that the health sector in Dubai witnessed a growth of 26.7%, during the last five years, until the end of the third quarter of 2021, with an average annual increase of 5.3%.

 Al Mulla told "Emirates Today": "The number of licensed health facilities and facilities rose to 3,679, up to the third quarter of 2021, an increase of 5.1%, compared to 3,499 facilities during the fourth quarter of last year, an increase of 8%, compared to the third quarter of last year. The same year,” stressing that this increase indicates the strength and solidity of the health sector, and the existence of promising opportunities that promise to attract many investments to the health system in the Emirate of Dubai.

He stated that on the professional level, this increase was in line with the number of health professionals registered in the emirate, whose number reached 41,511 until the third quarter of this year, compared to the fourth quarter of 2020, with 39,611 professionals, an increase of 4.8%. The emirate has witnessed an increase in the number of professionals in the last five years by 24.6%, at an annual rate of 4.9%.
