Burma: soldiers rush by car on demonstrators

In Burma, soldiers drove in on demonstrators.

At least three people were injured.

Since the takeover of power by the Burmese military junta last February, the repression against opponents has been extremely violent.

This Sunday morning, several people gathered peacefully in a shopping street in Yangon, the economic capital of

Burma

They chanted "restore

power to the people 

" while waving on their sign the famous slogan of

Aung Sann Suu Kyi

 : "Free 

oneself from fear

 ".

A car then charged at the demonstrators, according to a journalist on the spot.

They accelerated when they reached the demonstrators, they rushed over them, 

" said this journalist on condition of anonymity.

The soldiers then jumped out of their car and started shooting.

Three wounded were evacuated.

The soldiers then allegedly hit three other people on the ground and threatened passers-by with their weapons to disperse.

1,300 civilians killed in ten months
