CAIRO -

Egyptian journalist Sherif Amer jumped to the fore in social networking sites after last Thursday's episode of his program "Happening in Egypt", in which he hosted a popular singer named "Youssef Sousa", which in recent days has seen a wide spread of his song called "Shaimaa Festival", which is Within a wave of what has been known in recent years as "festival songs".

The aforementioned song drew attention because of the strangeness of its words, as well as the way it was portrayed, and it was interesting that its views could be estimated at millions within a few days, despite the criticism directed at it.

Hosting “Sousta” on the Saudi-owned MBC Egypt channel drew many criticisms to the episode’s announcer, Sherif Amer, as some considered it a failure for him and the channel, and that he might have wanted to achieve fame that would push him to the ranks of leading media professionals in Egypt, especially as he It came amid a crisis between the Syndicate of Musical Professions and the so-called “festival singers” since the middle of last month, after the Syndicate suspended 19 of them from work.

Some focused on what they saw in this hosting of interest in trivial matters at the expense of being preoccupied with the real issues of the homeland or highlighting positive and inspiring models in Egypt.

In turn, Amer responded to critics of the episode through a number of tweets on his Twitter account, in which he said that Egypt has 100 million people, and that no one has a ban or ban in an era with new tools.

Amer claimed that there is a serious defect in understanding the nature of journalistic work, as he put it, considering that the press transmits and does not promote, discusses and does not judge, and that the society we serve is neither hell nor a virtuous city.

#Sherif_Amer is a

big mistake for a professional

journalist

,, Egypt has thousands of talented people and inventors who deserve to be highlighted instead of these trivia.

Does he know that he is now an employee in the demolition of the history of Egypt's paper with instructions to guarantee?

Now I was sure that Egypt's Umm Kulthum, Halim and Abdel Wahab were suffering from many people, and they decided to go back again.

Egypt must remain Becca, Shakush, and Susa.

Loss.

The media every day falls out of our sight.

We are in the era of metamorphosis, and YouTube is not enough, nor are the media gentlemen showing these models on television and displaying them and bringing them into every home.

Enough demolition and frustration in society #Sherif_Amer

It has a serious flaw in understanding the nature of journalistic work of all kinds.

On the condition of honesty, and not fabrication: the

press transmits and does not promote, discusses and does not judge.

The press sheds light on the society it serves, negatively and positively, as long as it is not a violation of the law, or lies and fabrications.

And the society we serve is neither hell nor a utopia.

— Sherif Amer (@Sherif_Amer_) December 4, 2021

Simply, Egypt is 100 million. It has everything. We understand, see, decide, and treat without raising and ignoring, because we do not have a ban or ban in an era that has new tools that have no credentials.

A character that turns into a watch title, disappears or continues.

Everyone who disagrees with me has a right to that.

I also have a right to disagree with him.

Greetings and appreciation to all.

Where are the scholars and icons?

A team of social media pioneers rejected Sharif Amer's justifications, and saw in his tweets a confusion between showing the worst to the public and celebrating it, and the moral and ethical responsibility that the media should have.

Some of them questioned the reason for the wide media interest in the issue of festivals and other exciting issues in search of views, and the neglect of public figures, symbols and Egyptian scientists who are celebrated by the world, and the important events taking place on the land of Egypt.

Some of the pioneers of the communication sites chose to participate in criticizing the behavior of the Egyptian media by hosting these personalities, through another method, which is to publish honorable models of Egyptian citizens who deserve the attention of the media.

On the other hand, some refused to intensify the attack on Sharif Amer, as he was merely a transmitter of the news, and that what he had done was a kind of "eating a living", in addition to being just a cog in a bad system.

Frankly, the justifications for #Sharif_Amer are worse than hosting!

Because hosting may be a mistake and transgression, but its justifications indicate that there is a confusion in the brain between showing the worst to the public and celebrating it, and the moral and ethical responsibility that the free and honorable media should have!

It is designed to deviate, arrogance and transcendence!

The world is upside down on #Sherif_Amer and the seller of the trend #Shaima instead of the bird taking you as usual, talk about most of the disgusting media that does not represent the Egyptians.

The countries that host Abu Shaima on their TV channels and attack and ignore Abu Trika and Issam Hajji and their ilk are honorable examples of them.

It is not necessary to criticize Mr. Sherif_Amer. He is not the one who made the video, he is not the one who is rich, and he is not the one who made the song spread, and he is not the one who made the song admire the 6 million viewers..

He is a journalist who conveys the news and makes an episode that will attract views.. This is his job and eat his life..

Not the first time

It is noteworthy that social media criticism of Sharif Amer has been repeated in the recent period, the most prominent of which was last October, after he hosted a citizen who claimed that he works as a “forensic analyst”, and said that he married 33 times with the aim of returning divorced women to their husbands, similar to the role of artist Adel. Imam in the play "Al-Wad Sayed al-Shaghal" and the movie "Husband on Demand", justifying this by protecting homes from "destruction".

But after many attacks on him and the demand for his trial, the alleged analyst came out in televised statements to deny the incident and claims that he was promised a sum of 150,000 pounds (which he did not receive) to ignite the "trend", as well as a promise to become a movie star.

Hosting Sosta?

Or hosting the alleged analyst who married 33 women https://t.co/nEPbsN8xRf# Sharif_Amer pic.twitter.com/F20055ya2G
