"President Biden will be holding a video call with Russian President Vladimir Putin on Tuesday, December 7," the White House said in a statement.
As specified, the leaders of the two countries will discuss a number of topics in relations between the United States and Russia, including strategic stability, cyber security and regional issues.
In addition, during the talks, Biden "will emphasize the US's concern about Russia's military activities on the border with Ukraine and reaffirm support for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine."
Earlier, the press secretary of the Russian leader Dmitry Peskov said that the conversation between the presidents of Russia and the United States by video link will take place on Tuesday, December 7.
