"In a hard-to-reach area ... the body of a drifter was found, who died, according to preliminary data, as a result of carbon monoxide poisoning remaining in the adit after the planned work," the regional branch of the Investigative Committee of Russia said in a statement.
According to TASS, four people, tentatively, went down to the mine during scheduled blasting operations.
Two people were able to independently get to the surface, two more lost consciousness.
Earlier, the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Sverdlovsk region said that a rock blow had occurred at the Cheryomukhovskaya-Glubokaya mine.
At the moment, no information has been received about the victims.
The mine is operating normally.
