Sherman also noted that the first session of the US-EU dialogue on defense and security will be held early next year.
She expressed hope that the forum will strengthen cooperation between the parties in this area.
Earlier, NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg welcomed the commitment of the American partners to the security of Europe and the strengthening of the US presence in the region.
He noted that the United States began to conduct more military exercises in Europe and sent more forces and equipment to the region.
