During the autumn, the Gävleborg Region closed its large vaccination sites when a large proportion of residents had been vaccinated against covid-19. Vaccination then proceeded to take place at the health centers.

But now that a third dose is to be given, large vaccination sites will reopen.

- This means that we can get these conveyor belts the flows that we saw worked well in the spring and summer, says Tina Mansson Söderlund, vaccine coordinator in the Gävleborg Region.

"We are already at a high speed"

According to the vaccine coordinator, the Gävleborg Region is at a vaccination rate of 13,000 a week.

The region sees that about a hundred people a week make contact to take their first dose of vaccine against covid-19.

- We are already at a high speed, says Tina Mansson Söderlund.

Appointments for vaccines

The region is moving to the fact that, above all, there must be booked times for vaccines.

- We want to be able to control the flows a little better so that you do not have to stand and queue as people have done in many places, but we want a better order.

Many people are asking for the opportunity to book an appointment.

Now there have been very few times in relation to drop-in and now it will be the other way around, says Tina Mansson Söderlund.

But will people not be able to be spontaneous to come and get vaccinated?

Yes, you can choose a drop-in reception, but mainly it will be booked visits, says Tina Mansson Söderlund.
