The Corona pandemic and record high Black Friday sales led Postnord to handle 1.3 million e-commerce items in Sweden.
This year, they have not seen the same peak in one and the same day, but on the other hand, e-commerce before this year's Christmas seems to have started earlier, according to Leif Augustsson, who is distribution area manager at Postnord in Värmland.
- The peak period that starts now lasts until mid-January, he says.
About 90 people work at the terminal in Karlstad, but in order to be able to handle the many packages, the staff is now increasing by five to ten people, and in the Karlstad area, packages are also distributed on Saturdays.
