Today, Thursday, Israel announced that it may be forced to strike Iran, and indicated that it was preparing for this, as it began procedures to purchase new weapons.

Israeli Defense Minister Benny Gantz said that "there may be no escape from striking Iran, and we are preparing for this possibility, and the Ministerial Committee on Armaments has approved the purchase of weapons and ammunition."

The Yedioth Ahronoth newspaper reported that the committee, which met at the beginning of the week, approved the purchase of 12 CH-53K combat helicopters and a large stock of ammunition for the Iron Dome anti-missile system.

The committee approved the conclusion of new contracts for the purchase of explosives, bombs and advanced precision and various munitions for the Air Force in large quantities.

It has approved a total of $1.7 billion in purchases, all in preparation for a possible attack on Iran.
