02 December 2021 The company Meta removes on Facebook a network of accounts

which originated in Italy and France and has targeted doctors, journalists and politicians with "mass harassment" and "brigading", squadism. 

"The people behind this activity have relied on a combination of authentic, duplicate and fake accounts

. We will take action if we find further violations," Meta explains. who collaborated with government and police.

The action taken in Italy is part of a series of safety interventions that Meta has launched in six different countries. In particular,
