On November 21 around 5:30 am, in Villefranche-sur-Saône, a man was driving his vehicle when an individual asked him to lend him his cell phone, before fleeing with the object.

The driver pursued "the borrower", who pulled out a handgun and pointed it at him.

If he wanted to get his phone back, he told her, he had to give him some money.

He then entered the vehicle, and forced the driver to drive to an ATM to withdraw 80 euros.

Arrested, he carried cannabis with him

Still under the threat of his weapon, he finally demanded to be dropped off at his home, in the district of Beligny.

The victim lodged a complaint and an investigation was opened.

A week later, on November 29, police arrested the suspect and charged him.

He was wearing two cannabis zippers, and the clothes he was wearing on the morning of the theft were found at his home.

The suspect denied the facts although the victim formally admitted it.

He was presented to the public prosecutor's office on December 1 for a judgment in immediate appearance on Friday December 3.
