01 December 2021 European stock exchanges are looking for a rebound, opening in positive territory in the wake of the Asian ones.

Milan immediately gains 0.95%, London 1.06%, Frankfurt 0.87% and Paris 0.86%.

Even in Asia, after three consecutive sessions in the red, the markets reacted. Tokyo closed at + 0.41%, Hong Kong was up 0.55%.

Lights and shadows, however, on the markets. On Wall Street the last one was a bad session. The Dow Jones down 1.86% and the Nasdaq down 1.55%.

To scare investors not only the pandemic with the Omicron variant, but also the words of the president of the Federal Reserve, Jerome Powell, who opened the possibility of a reduction in bond purchases (the so-called tapering), therefore a less expansive attitude than fuels expectations of an anticipated rate hike.
