After 40 days avoiding each other, allowing the confrontation to mature and feeding the curiosity about their next joint presence, Pablo Casado and Isabel Díaz Ayuso have met again in one act.

The two have tried to lower the tension of their pulse with a conversation posed in front of the media to be seen again together in front of everyone and try to pretend a truce with that photo.

Despite this staging, the problem has not been solved, but is very much alive.

The Madrid president insists her intention to lead the PP of the Community of Madrid while Genoa maintains strong misgivings about her assuming that position.

Casado and Ayuso have tried to cover their reunion with apparent normality.

So when they finished posing with Mariano Rajoy, José Luis Martínez-Almeida and Alfonso Fernández Mañueco in the photocall, they took the opportunity to have a conversation, in full view of everyone.

That dialogue did not even come to the minute because a cloud of journalists has taken over while the questions flew as to whether it was the beginning of a "truce" or if it was the end of the "war."

Not a word from both.

Just smiles and an attempt to break through the crowd of journalists, photographers and cameras to access the room where Rajoy presented his new book, 'Politics for adults' (Plaza Janés).

It has not been easy.

The curiosity for the reunion had dozens of people on top of them.

Before all that, Casado and Ayuso arrived separately, posed alone with Rajoy and had their true reunion in an adjoining room where the press had no access.

So both the actual initial greeting or if something had to be said was in private.
