Nuland spoke about the possibility of Ukraine joining NATO and the EU

“Ukraine itself is paving the way to NATO and the EU,” Nuland said via video link at the Kiev Security Forum.

According to Nuland, this requires deep and comprehensive reforms of the entire Ukrainian system, economy, free and independent judiciary and the fight against corruption.

“You have been working on many of these issues over the years, but there is still a lot of work ahead,” she said.

Earlier, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmitry Kuleba called the country's membership in NATO and the European Union a matter of time.
