The shortage of used cars began two years ago in connection with the pandemic.

To this was added the lack of semiconductor, which means that the waiting time today is up to a year on a petrol-powered new VW Golf.

- But it is mainly electric cars that customers demand and here the queue is not as long, says Joacim Westerlund.

- I think that environmental taxes have also played a role in the lack of used.

Instead of picking out a new company car, many customers instead buy a lightly used car, one that draws some fuel, says Joacim Westerlund.

Car was sold in three hours

Most car dealers today have a shortage of cars.

Some have had as few as six used cars for sale.

- Today we have about 50 used here in the halls against the normal 120. Those who are there go fast.

I sold a car today in three hours after posting it online, says Joacim Westerlund.
