- Yes, we have a lot of pressure right now on the booking, it is quite fully booked, says Marie Waldén, responsible for the sampling of covid-19 in Östergötland.

The new recommendations have meant that the staff at the sampling units has quickly tripled.

Something that Corren was the first to report on.

Today, about 30 staff scattered in Linköping, Norrköping and Motala work with the sampling, and from tomorrow Thursday, a sampling bus will also be running in Mjölby.

So staff are being sought right now with lights and lanterns.

- We have brought in external staff but we need to be more, as we expand evenings and weekends with as many resources as we can get together, she says.

Few tested positive

Although more people are testing themselves for different symptoms, Marie Waldén does not see any major increase in the number of cases in Östergötland.

- This week has so far been some sore throat, hoarseness, a little fever and runny nose.

But there are so many other infections that are spinning out in the community right now and only 5 percent really have covid-19, she says.
