Four students of the Van-Gogh high school in Ermont (Val-d'Oise), aged 15 and 16, were hospitalized after being assaulted by a gang of young people on Monday afternoon near their establishment.

They were severely beaten by about fifteen attackers from the neighboring town of Montigny-lès-Cormeilles (Val-d'Oise), reports

La Gazette Val-d'Oise

.

A knife wound

They beat their victims with knives, kicks, punches and baseball bats.

In a relative state of emergency, the high school students were taken to the Eaubonne hospital (Val-d'Oise) after being taken care of on site by the Samu.

One of them was wounded with a knife in the side.

The police officers dispatched on the spot could only note that the attackers had fled on their arrival.

Several suspects aged 15 to 18 were however arrested in the afternoon and taken into police custody.

Specialists in technical and scientific investigations searched for clues at the scene of the violence.

A knife was notably found under a manhole cover.
