According to reports, Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Khatibzad stated that Iran will not accept any new commitments beyond the terms of the comprehensive agreement on the Iranian nuclear issue reached in 2015.

He also said that the focus of Iran's talks is to lift sanctions.

Khatibzad added that the Iranian side is participating in the Vienna talks with a comprehensive delegation and serious will, and has a serious will to lift the sanctions. If other parties also seek to achieve the same goal, instead of delaying and wasting time, It can be said that the negotiations will be on the right track.

On November 29, local time, after the end of the first meeting, Iran’s Deputy Foreign Minister and Chief Negotiation Representative Bagheri stated that if the “U.S. maximum pressure policy” continues, it will be difficult to restore the agreement. Therefore, It is necessary to make the removal of all sanctions a priority in the Vienna negotiations.

Bagheri added, "We are determined to reach a just agreement that protects our interests."

According to the report, Ulyanov, Russia’s permanent representative to the Vienna International Organization, also stated that the United States affirmed that it intends to lift all sanctions that are inconsistent with the nuclear agreement in exchange for Iran’s full compliance with the Iran nuclear agreement.

Ulyanov added that the specific list of sanctions to be lifted is the subject of negotiations.

In addition, Mora, the EU’s chief coordinator for negotiations, said that he was optimistic about the situation at the current meeting and pointed out that Iran hopes to have serious dialogue.

In July 2015, Iran reached a comprehensive agreement on the Iranian nuclear issue with the United States, Britain, France, Russia, China and Germany.

In May 2018, the US government unilaterally withdrew from the Iran nuclear agreement, and subsequently restarted and added a series of sanctions against Iran.

Since May 2019, Iran has gradually suspended the implementation of certain provisions of the Iran nuclear agreement, but promised that the measures taken are "reversible."

The talks between the parties involved in the Iranian nuclear agreement began in Vienna in April this year to discuss the issue of the United States and Iran resuming the implementation of the agreement.

Due to serious differences between the United States and Iran and the change of leadership of the Iranian government, the talks were suspended after six rounds.

A new round of talks will be held in Vienna on November 29.
