After being exposed by the Kuwaiti press.. 4 years imprisonment for the Egyptian residency and travel broker

Seven months after the case that was launched by the Kuwaiti newspaper “Al-Qabas” about the Egyptian residency broker who fled Kuwait and was arrested in one of the governorates of Upper Egypt, the Egyptian judiciary said his speech yesterday, and he was sentenced to 4 years in prison with work and enforcement against the accused, and the court obligated him to compensate financial victims.

The judgment issued by the Al-Balina Court in Sohag Governorate came against the accused “A.Q” in cases No. 11020 and 11018, and was charged with “human trafficking” and fraud and seizing the money of those wishing to travel to Kuwait.

The victims' lawyer, Atef Hammami, said that the court's ruling is a victory for a large number of workers and an upholding of the value of justice, after the criminal managed to defraud thousands of poor people for years, and took their money illegally, causing a major crisis between families and people of the same area in Sohag.

Al-Hammami ended his statements to the Kuwaiti press that 4 years imprisonment is only the beginning.

Investigations into the case revealed that the accused professionalized brokerage to sell residencies and bring workers to the owners of fictitious companies, and he fled Kuwait after the Corona crisis and was arrested in his country, after hundreds of workers from his victims registered cases against him.

According to investigations and security information, it was found that the accused possesses bank balances exceeding 400 million pounds from the residency trade, in addition to real estate in the Egyptian regions, and has worked for years for the benefit of fictitious companies, whose owners were convicted in cases following the Corona crisis.

Yesterday was witnessed in front of the Egyptian Court in Upper Egypt, where the victims and their families flocked, and the judge listened to the complaints of some of them, as they confirmed that the accused was residing in Jahra, and set up hundreds of workers and then left them in the open, noting that the price of one visa reached 1500 dinars. And he was receiving 30% of the proceeds, and 70% went to the owners of fictitious companies who were disavowing workers upon their arrival in Kuwait, and the Corona crisis revealed these tragedies and pains caused by residency dealers and their partners, brokers and delegates.

The details of the case go back to the arrest of the accused in his villa in the Balina center last August. After interrogating him before the Illicit Gain Investigations, he was referred to the Public Prosecution Office, which ordered his detention for four days pending investigations, and his detention renewed for 15 days until the investigations are completed.

The sources indicated that the investigations of the Public Funds, the Public Prosecution and National Security Investigations Department during the past months revealed a case of human trafficking, and after the security investigations and successive reports, it became clear that there were many suspicions about the accused, including the inflated bank balances and assets he owned, and the fraud and fraud cases that followed against him.

The sources added that the accused was charged with "improper gain", and it was found that his balances originated from the State of Kuwait, where his bank balances exceed millions of pounds, other than other properties of homes and lands, where, with the correspondence of the reports, it was found that there was suspicion of human trafficking, fraud, and business illegal, and investigations about the suspicions are continuing.

The security sources stated that since the moment of his arrest, reports and reports against him continued, all related to human trafficking, fraud, selling fake visas to Kuwait, and establishing partnerships with Kuwaitis who own fictitious companies according to investigations and information obtained by the Egyptian authorities from their Kuwaiti counterparts, in addition to the statements of the victims.
