It was during the riot in Washington on January 6 this year that the man with two American flags in his hands, wearing a motorcycle helmet and a red Skellefteå scarf was seen chasing the crowds.

Who the man is and how he got hold of the scarf was discussed extensively afterwards.

The scarf is one of about 1,000 scarves that were sent out in 2007 to displaced Skellefteå residents.

Overwhelmed by police during the riot

This spring, the documentary filmmaker Mattias Löw together with producer Mathias Fjellström started work on a documentary to find out who the man is and how a scarf from Skellefteå ended up in the world's event center.

According to the American Huffington Post, the FBI should now have the answer to who he is.

The name has not been made public, but the man is suspected, among other things, of having been involved in an assault on police officers during the riot.

According to the Huffington Post, the man at the time of the assault, among other things, shouted "Freedom or death, gentlemen!"

and "Hold the line!".

Should not have broken in Swedish

Another of the men charged with the storm is said in interrogation to have said that the man with the Skellefteå scarf must have lived in Los Angeles and that he did not break into Swedish.

So the mystery of who the man is now seems to be solved.

What remains, however, is how he got hold of the scarf, which after the riot was found next to a megaphone by a wall in the Capitol.
