Symposium on the 40th Anniversary of the Founding of the Beijing Taiwan Compatriots Association was held

　　China News Service, Beijing, November 30 (Reporter Liu Dawei) The Beijing Taiwan Compatriots Association's 40th Anniversary Symposium was held on the 30th in the Beijing Taiwan Hall.

　　Huang Zhixian, Secretary and Chairman of the National Taiwan Federation, You Jun, Member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Beijing Municipal Committee and Minister of the United Front Work, Chen Jun, Vice Chairman of the Beijing Municipal Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference, and others attended the meeting. More than 40 people including the heads of units and representatives of Taiwan compatriots in Beijing attended the meeting.

The meeting was chaired by Huang Saixi, secretary of the Beijing Taiwan Federation of Party Leaders.

　　At the meeting, Gao Feng, the president of the Beijing Taiwan Federation of Trade Unions, delivered a keynote report entitled "Forty Years of Forge ahead and set sail for a new era", reviewing the achievements of the Beijing Federation of Taiwanese Football Associations since its establishment in 1981 and looking forward to its future development.

Gao Feng called on the majority of Taiwan compatriots in Beijing to actively build a "heart-to-heart bridge" for cross-strait communication, to contribute their efforts to safeguard the common interests of compatriots on both sides of the strait; to actively play to their own advantages, promote cross-strait integration and development, and achieve spiritual harmony between compatriots on both sides of the strait.

　　Huang Zhixian pointed out in his speech that the Beijing Taiwan Federation of Trade Unions takes the initiative to adapt to the new situation, new tasks, and new requirements based on the first-hand standards, and always maintains strategic confidence, strategic determination and strategic patience, grasps the new situation, creates a new situation, bases itself on the capital, and connects Both sides of the strait promote the work of the Taiwan Union in the forefront of the national Taiwan Union system. 　　At the symposium, You Jun affirmed the achievements of Beijing Taiwan Federation of Trade Unions in the past 40 years.

The Beijing Municipal Committee of the Taiwan League and the Beijing Federation of Overseas Chinese respectively congratulated the 40th anniversary of the establishment of the Beijing Taiwan Federation on behalf of the democratic parties and people’s organizations.

Zhang Ning and Cai Yu, representatives of Taiwan compatriots in Beijing, spoke about the unforgettable experience of Beijing Taiwan Federation in helping Taiwan compatriots grow and progress. They also expressed their desire to inherit and carry forward the fine traditions of Taiwan compatriots' patriotism and love the country and create a better future for both sides of the strait through struggle.

In their speeches, representatives of Taiwanese businessmen in Beijing Chen Wenxun and Taiwan Youth League representatives Shen Jie also expressed their gratitude to the Beijing Taiwan Federation of Trade Unions for their care and help for many years, and expressed their expectations for continuing to live and work in Beijing.
