The report says about the continuation of joint patrolling of the airspace along the border of Belarus "within the framework of strengthening combat alert on air defense of the mixed tactical group of multifunctional Su-30SM fighters of Belarus and Russia."
According to the ministry, the fighters fly according to a pre-approved plan, regardless of weather conditions and time of day.
Earlier, Belarusian Defense Minister Viktor Khrenin said that Belarus and Russia would hold exercises to cover the southern Belarusian border.
